I work hard for these curves!

You know when I was younger it was really ‘in’ to be stick thin like Twiggy. And if you have any resemblance of a bum then stick thin is simply not possible. In my life I have been many sizes but let me tell you, I have never, ever been Twiggy thin! Thankfully due to actresses like J Lo and Kim Kardashian curves are IN! And man, I got to tell you that they really are in!
The clothes in the shops have changed to accommodate the curvier woman and Levis even brought out a whole range of bum friendly jeans. No more “under hugging” and crack showing! It’s a whole fashion industry change that has finally accepted that curves are sexy and a woman is meant to look like a woman not a pre-pubescent boy.
Even the men have changed! They no longer look for the anorexic girls but get distracted by a fine apple bottom…. And ironically, it’s actually easier to maintain curves than it is to starve oneself into a pair of skin tight leggings. So if you are like me, and have an ample juicy bottom, here are a few tips on how to get your bottom PHAT!
·         Eat Breakfast!
If you carry weight on the bottom area of your body then you are more prone to getting a slow metabolism. And that means that your body is not used to burning up calories so it will just store the fat till it thinks you will need it. Not good! Best way to stop this from happening is to eat small meals throughout the day and eat a solid, protein filled breakie every morning.

·         Join a spinning class….
I know it seems really intimidating at first but it really isn’t. It’s a great workout because the music pushes you harder than you would ever have pushed yourself and if the music is awesome you won’t even realize how hard you worked. Let me put it into perspective for you…..
If you run on the treadmill for 20 minutes at 75% to 80% you will burn approximately 200 calories (if you work hard!) in a 40 minute spinning class the average calorie count is between 350 to 600 calories! (Depending on how hard to peddle).  I am so not joking! It’s insane! And you will meet lots of new people and enjoy the gym even more because it becomes a social thing!

·         Step Up
Use the stepper! Its old school but it so works! If it doesn’t want to work then call someone to help you. Don’t be shy! It’s your ass! Doing the stepper for 10 to 15 minutes will lift your bum without creams and help with loosing those stubborn centimeters.

·         GRRRRRRRRRRRBBBBBBBRRRRRRRRR
You know it! It’s the power plate! It’s a strange machine and I totally understand the hesitation. It’s like sitting on a massive vibrator but it’s like manna from heaven because it really works. Target the bum and hamstrings with low squats and lunges and afterwards massage your cellulite away! It really works. If you add two, 20 minute sessions to your work out, then your bikini will literally thank you in the summer!

I hope that these wise words will help you as much as they have helped me. The J Lo bum is something that you have to constantly work at. It’s a commitment! But if you jazz up your workout and keep your body guessing then you have won half the battle.
