50 Cents. Take it or leave it

50 Cents take it or leave it..

I was standing in the cold rain yesterday in line to watch “breaking through societal bonds with interpreted dance” and it occurred to me that we put ourselves through extraordinary paces to experience a flash of what we think is the human soul. I was pondering the meaning of Art and debating whether or not art is the object itself or if art is actually the subject interpreting the object.
When looking at art one is supposed to take distance from oneself so as not to project your own idea on the article or piece but rather to saturate oneself with the object. My question of course is; whilst saturating yourself with the art is it actually the experience of looking at what might be the elusive human soul? Do we strive towards art that reveals an aesthetically transformed world so as to, transform the moral or ethical life for ourselves? Or is it just pretty?
To break it down art can be many things and it can come in many different forms but it is always controlled. It’s meant to be a representation of how we see the world or how we would want the world to be but it still leaves us in the same physical position.  You can spend a lifetime pondering the possibilities of life whilst still daily facing the impossibilities. It’s possible to change yourself but it’s not possible to change the system that you live in. It IS what it IS because it really IS.
